The final version of webcal has been released - 3.04. Webcal is now an end
of life product, and development has stopped. A complete rewrite of webcal
with many updates is available at http://www.webcalng.com
The mailing list is now being archived! Use the Archive link under the Related Links section on the left in order to browse the mailing list archives.
The Palm synch client is now available for Windows! Rich Willis was able to get the native perl webcal_synch_client.pl program to run under Windows using Cygwin. Grab the zip file winsynch.zip and give it a try if you are interested. There is a readme.txt
file included in the zip archive, while you can view online here. Thanks Rich!
There is a bug in the rdb2flat.pl script that shipped with version 3.03.

| Description |
WebCal is a free browser based calendar
program to help you keep track of your appointments, meetings, birthdays,
whatever!
It uses perl based cgi scripts to generate all the web pages. It gives you the
choice of using a flat file database system with file locking to store the data,
, or MySQL or PostgreSQL databases for calendar data. It also uses a bit of
Javascript to tie things together. All you need is a unix box, perl, and
a webserver to try it out.
As of version 3.02, you can synch your WebCal data with your Palm Pilot!
WebCal also runs under mod_perl!

| Languages |
Webcal also supports many different languages. However, the translations are not complete for any of the languages. If you would like to complete the translations for a language, please do so and mail me the updated language file!
